JBXDR reveals a window to his life in new video for ‘Pocketcall’

Drummer and experimental electronic producer JBXDR has released a video for his track ‘Pocketcall.’

He has already seen support from press such as Resident Advisor, Clash Magazine, Data Transmission and Son Of Marketing and is Managing and Artistic Director of Papenwohld gGmbH, a non-profit organization that aims to promote artists and creative professionals providing them with a forum, a place to give their creativity free reign and an event location.

He has now announced an upcoming EP titled No 2, From which ‘Pocketcall is lifted.’ The has mentioned that the track is a ‘hymn to his partner’, and the video certainly allows his followers a window into intimate parts of his life. The video is also an interesting look into his creative process, something that many artists shy away from revealing. He explains:

“With the video for Pocketcall I tried to redefine my personal relationship with social media and in general my visual representation in the digital world. I strangely often find myself lost in the search for the ‘right’ content, the ‘right’ words or the ‘right’ message that truly reflects my analogue state of mind, process or emotion. I know nowadays many of us get lost in the same struggle. So I decided to push myself to try something new and show the most intimate parts of my personal life – my relationship to my partner, my homes and the daily search to find the balance between life and all my goals, interests and dreams.”
